Bryce wanted the worms on top of the cupcakes... and he told me that two kids were "lactose intolerant" and not to frost two of them... interesting that those two cupcakes were the two that came home uneaten!

We had so much fun at the Lake this weekend. Someone mentioned we might like this spot. We live near Red River Army Depot and who would have ever known that we have a beautiful campground practically in our backyard? It worked out perfectly for us to have a mini-getaway this weekend. We only had to drive 10 minutes for a "vacation!"

100th Post!

A year ago, 99 posts ago, I really didn't even know what blogging was, and TODAY IS MY 100TH POST!!!! I have fallen in love with blogging... I have made new friends, rekindled old friendships, begun planning meals, have tried lots of new recipes, learned so much about too many topics to name, and become inspired on a daily basis by so many AMAZING women (and men) since I joined the world of blogging last October. It is so inspiring to me to be part of a community of women who are doing life the best they can, putting God and family first, and even fitting time in for careers and fabulous hobbies! So, what should I do to celebrate my 100th entry? I think I'll share some of my favorite idea blogs with you, so you, too, can become inspired... click and have fun!

Happy Birthday To My Main Man!

We had fun celebrating Dan's birthday this week! Just some good old-fashioned family fun!

Jayden wanted to write on the envelope... for some reason, seeing it made me feel all mushy inside. My boys mean everything to me, and they are growing up so fast... Jayden with his straight up and down writing, insisting on calling Dan "Dad" instead of "Daddy" , trying to be all grown up... this is the "stuff" people, this is the "stuff."

A new week...

We had a busy and fun weekend... including Hooks Homecoming festivities, Pee wee football, 2 Fall baseball games, a belated birthday party in our backyard for Jayden, a friend of the boys' sleeping over on Saturday night, joining a new church on Sunday morning, attending a birthday party Sunday afternoon, and Awanas for the boys Sunday night. I think that about sums it up.I did manage to cook a few meals for my family last week, and this week I'll do my best again! (I'm such a trooper... ha ha!)

This week's meals: (I've learned that if I stick to three decent meals, it leaves leftovers for Thursday night, and we usually do pizza on Fridays)
