Being Bryce at Eleven

Even though I’m noticing a bit of a “tweenager” attitude in my firstborn, he is still my ever pleasing boy who will do anything for his mama. So, when I needed a model to play around with aperture and other settings for portraits on my camera, all I had to do was bribe him with a Sonic milkshake and he obliged.

When he saw this picture, Bryce said, “I’m singing, I’m in a forest, and I’m singing!”

 

The effect in the photo below is what I was trying to get. They call it bokeh. The light was shining through the trees. What a beautiful backdrop for one of my favorite smiles in the world.  

To me, the picture below is sooo Bryce. Full of personality.

We laughed and he made silly faces like he used to when I photographed him when he was little.

    This is one of my favorites.     

  This one is a very natural, Bryce look!

  I think he is really enjoying this… I’m sure he’s thinking about something profound his math teacher said today… :)

Last night we went to a family Valentines banquet at church. It was very fun... we are truly blessed with wonderful family and friends.

Bryce is 11!

Our Brycie boy is turning 11 this year, 2011. Gosh... where have the past 11 years gone?  Bryce is a great kid... sensitive, smart, and sweet.

Love you, son! I am enjoying this year with you so much... of course, as my son who makes me proud everyday, but I get the extra special blessing of teaching you math at school, too. Not sure if you love it, but I really do!  You are such a blessing to me!
