Lately there have been a few, so I thought I'd share.
1. I drowned my husband"s car in water a couple Saturday nights ago. My friend Jana and I were driving to drop Mary off at a friends house in a neighborhood. It was pouring down rain, as it has been doing A LOT lately! Well, I turned the corner, hit some deceivingly high water, and the car shut off. Then the rain got even heavier, and we sat in the car as the water rose quickly. In a matter of minutes, the water was up the car doors, and then a few minutes later, it started filling up the inside of the car. Well, we got out into thigh deep water (we're both 5ft 9ish) and the firemen, etc. came and pushed the car out of the water. My husband was thrilled (sarcasm), but he gets a new truck out of the deal, considering the car is TOTALLED! Oh, by the way, that same car had been backed into the night before at a baseball game in the parking lot, and I had a flat tire in my van the next day!!!
2. Last night (well early this morning) I woke up to barking. I have two 18 month old dogs who are pretty much in the kennel or backyard. They rarely roam the house, and if they do, it is only for short periods of time. Well, half asleep me heard them barking, and then realized I could hear them running through the house... ahhhh! So, I got up (blind as a bat by the way w/o my contacts in) and apparently I had forgot to latch the kennel and they had been having free reign of the house all night. In the living room, every pillow and cushion was off the couch and chairs, an antique book had been chewed into eight hundred million pieces throughout the house, and they ate a bunch of suckers I had left sitting in a box on the coffee table. I guess it could have been worse. The worse part- I have no one to blame but myself because I was the one who let them in and put them in their kennel last night. Lovely!
I just thought I'd "get real" and share some of my real-life experiences.

I cannot believe you did that to your car. How scary! I'm glad you are oka!!
