Gingerbread Cookies

Traditions are one of the best parts of this time of year. I can remember my brother, sister, and I always telling my parents, “But, it’s a tradition!” referring to anything we wanted to do! It was a family joke that if we did it once during the Holiday season, it was forevermore a tradition. Oh, the memories!  Tonight, we decorated gingerbread cookies (a tradition, of course!) I’ve perfected this process over the years. I give the boys their own plate with two or three cookies. They decorate their own cookies, and usually eat them right away. I decorate the rest. This way, the finger-licking boys don’t end up touching all the cookies!

Am I  the only one who just recently discovered (I’m sure from reading someone’s blog), that if you turn a gingerbread man upside down, you can decoate it to make a reindeer?  Genius!
