Summer is Here!

School got out on June 3, and we quickly finished up baseball seasons and got ready for our quick road trip to Ohio for Dan’s graduation. Monday morning, I finally woke up (and then went back to sleep), finally feeling that summer had arrived! 

Last night was Jayden’s End of Season Baseball party. We had a great time celebrating these little boys. They were the youngest, and least experienced team in the league and thanks to great boys, great coaches, and great parents, they came along quite well as the season progressed, learning a lot and making great friendships.

I just love Jayden’s blue eyes… watch out girls!

Since I have a little more free time over the summer, I made a baseball cake and cupcakes for the occasion. It was surprising to me how excited Bryce, Jayden, and Rylan were over them. I loved them, too, and do like creativity in the kitchen every once in a while, but I was suprised at how much my boys oohed and ahhhed over them. That made it totally worth it…
