Pleasure in the Flowers

Excerpt from A Prayer in Spring
by Robert Frost (1915)

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.

I had actually never planted flowers myself before today. Well, today I had two little helpers, but I've never been in charge of the project before today. I'll keep you updated on how my little flower garden grows.

  1. Someone told me about a little challenge they do each spring....to prepare for Easter. Each child plants grass seed in a small pot and they care for, water, and sun their pots to see who cultivates the best growth by the time Easter Sunday arrives. Mine are a bit young for this, but you might be able to! And, you could do it for anything.....thought that was cute!
