As in, my boys have the typical overflow of toys that have all but taken over the house, but their favorite activities tend to be on the creative and timeless spectrum. With no complaints from mom, tonight's activity: Making Paper Hats! And, you know what, it's even earth friendly, and it even helped me a little, because they stack of newspaper they used was needing to be taken out for recycling anyway! Since it ended up all over the floor, it became their "clean-up" to throw it away!
Creative moms are the best. No better way to say it. You keep kids busy, inspire them, and make memories all at the same time. I love it!
ReplyDeleteJust think....one day at least one of your kids will think back to that night when Mom helped him make a silly paper hat with a newspaper. And, then, he might teach his kids to do the same.
